The trailhead is well marked. The Inner Basin trail heads west from Lockett Meadow and goes through groves of some of the biggest aspens we’ve ever seen. If you are looking for an easy hike with great views - would recommend Lockett Meadow. Continue on Highway 180 until you reach the junction with Snowbowl Drive; you’ll find several signs for Snowbowl making it hard to miss. We got there at 7am on Friday which was perfect. It’s a 3,300-foot climb to the summit and close to 10 miles round trip and although not technical, the high altitude and steepness makes it a difficult hike.
